katelynn & wallen: hall of springs

Posted in: Weddings

October 18 2011

On Friday October 14th 2011 we pulled up to an awesome hidden gem of a bed & breakfast in Saratoga Springs. Katelynn rented out The Springwater Bed & Breakfast for her family and bridesmaids to get ready in. I thought this place was awesome and only hope more of you brides and grooms out there consider beautiful alternative’s like this for your getting ready locations. Yes, it was raining again! Has it stopped raining? No, it has not. Whatever, I aint skurrrrd of no rain and neither was Katelynn or Wallen. In all honesty though, the rain had no factor on our day because our locations were bullet proof or waterproof ;) . Anyway, we then headed to the beautiful Hall of Springs. I always say this is the best venue to be at if its raining. All those outdoor coverings really help! Once our first look went down we banged out all the photos and captured some really beautiful stuff of our bride and groom. Then it was time for a wedding! The room was decorated beautifully by Experience and Creative Design. Seriously those were some tall drapes!! After that the party was in full swing. The Hall of Springs smoked this one. I loved all the creative food stations! Its nice to see something a little different and out of the box. Props to Katelynn and Wallen for going for it! Did I mention DJ Music Man Mike Garrasi had the floor packed all night? Al Woodard was getting some crazy dance footage of this couple!  This was a great wedding to set a three wedding weekend off with! I’ll take a couple like Katelynn and Wallen any day of the week! Seriously guys, we had so much fun with you out there dodging raindrops. Your friends are hilarious and your families are awesome. Thank you so much for kicking it with the Elario boys on 10.14.11! Enjoy wine country (I like reds). Stay happy and keep smiling!

Peace,
JP

Some awesome details.

Oh its like that huh? Hotness.

Tis the season…

Getting all types of pretty..

We laughed a lot during this picture thanks to Donna from the Hall of Springs ;)

Ok, one more.. right after this it started to rain pretty good..

but you wouldn’t know it was raining behind them..

It really was easy photographing these two.

I love this one.

A rainbow tried to sneak out for like 30 seconds..

I do love this one a lot and thats why this was my facebook teaser.

Oh the color..

More color.. why not?

It was raining a little.. very lightly but they were game! I love this image.

Digging the ceremony in the round.. Something different.

Love a candle light ceremony.

Mr & Mrs..

Fun centerpieces.

The linens were cool too!

From the point they entered the room the party never stopped!

So cute.

Get low, get low..

Oh and uplighting… awesome!

Sup Kendal?

“That’s what’s going on around the country, here’s what’s happening in your neck of the woods..” Sorry, couldn’t resist.

You can tell from these images what a fun couple these two are!! I LOVE the bride’s details — the feathers and flowers and her shoes, her garter, etc. So gorgeous!! Oh and her shoes – black with the red bottoms! I love how unique it was!! This ceremony is one of my favorites from this year — it’s soooo unique and different, with the circle arrangement. I love the leaves down the aisle and all the candlelight!! I also love the groom’s reaction during their first look — so cute!! Definitely my favorite image from this blog. Congrats to Katelynn and Wallen! Great job Jp! :)

  2. Mona (10.23.11)

Oh very cool!!! It isn’t often you see a black/white wedding theme and I love it! A little fun and elegance all in one. Very cool tying in the bouquet, earrings, detail on the dress, the linens, bridesmaids and groomsmen of course. I like how the HOS took on a really intimate look with the chairs surrounding the couple as they wed. Again, this room can look so different from wedding to wedding. The drapes were AWESOME. Totally.
Now onto the happy couple :)
Katelynn you look beautiful! Again, gotta love a bride not intimidated by a little rain. You truly would not have known it was raining. Wallen was looking sharp – nice tie, and definitely love the first look.

This is really the fall I love seeing with those leaves… oh!!! Adds so much to what was a rainy day! And again, you really couldn’t tell. Looks bright, happy, so colorful. Love it. Congratulations guys!!!! :)

    ps – NICE. SHOES. :)

ashlee & sean: historic barns engagement session

Posted in: Engagements

October 17 2011

Ah yeah! Back to the barns I went last week. Only this time it was with Ashlee and Sean! When Ashlee contacted me about their engagement session and said she wanted to shoot at The Historic Barns of Nipmoose, I was like sign me up! This place is so beautiful in the fall. Ok who’s up for a winter session there? Anyway, what a night we had too! It was just perfect for shooting. I had a real fun time capturing these guys. I know when we get to their October 6, 2012 wedding all we’ll do is laugh and have fun since thats all we did during this engagement session. So sit back and enjoy this one as blogtober continues!

Peace,
JP

Meet Ashlee and Sean..

This is place is STUNNING in the fall!

There are so many things I love about this image.. the texture is one of them.

This antique school bell is for good luck. Ashlee bought it right before she got her job teaching 1st grade!

Aspen grove + peak foliage = hotness.

Inside the corn crib the light was super duper cool.

My favorite from the casual set right here:

Oh go on, get yourself in an Elario configuration. All the cool kids are doing it ;)

Loving outfit #2..

a little bit of light.. ok blog stalkers. who does Ashlee look like resemble? Hint she’s an Elario bride who was married this year. ;)

There are so many great spots at this place. It never ends..

Oh hey there pretty lady..

What a backdrop!

A nice little shoulder kiss..

The corn crib!!

I love everything about this one..

And we’ll end with my token “bling shot”..

ok, one more.. the last image of me as a 29 year old.

Oh how do I love fall sessions? Let me count the ways… :) The foliage is just perfect right there, and the setting, again, amazing. The outfits are great choices (especially that little white dress), and the bell is a great little touch. :) Ashlee and Sean definitely have a great way with the camera and seem totally comfortable. This is what I mean, when I say that you always make a place look different and unique for each couple. This blog is so different from the other Nipmoose barn blog – yet still so beautiful! STUNNING!!! The fall colors, the beautiful light, the lines of the wood barns… I just scrolled down from image to image, thinking “I love this one, I love this one, omg, I love this…”. Great job Jp!!! :)

stella is 1!

Posted in: Kids / Family

October 14 2011

We all remember Stella right? Yes!! Something tells me she’s going to make a lot more appearances on my blog! Anyway today we’re sharing her 1 year photos. It’s funny because coincidentally I photographed her exactly a year to date from the newborn session. Just a random fact. Anyway this little cowgirl did a hell of a job on her 1 year photos! I just love photographing her. I can’t thank Jivon and Anthony for continuously asking me back to capture their lives. It really does mean a lot! So lets get into the images!

Peace,
JP

Every little girl should have a pony right?

She sat there long enough for me to capture this frame then flipped out and wanted down. Lol..

She’s so darn cute!

haha I LOVE this one.

Yes she too had the pumpkin hat like the baby I blogged yesterday. Don’t worry I rocked my pumpkin hat too!

Too cute.

My man Moe!!

This one makes me smile.

We”ll end with these.. See you soon Stella!!

October 13 2011

I’m pretty sure you all remember this baby from his debut on the blog back in July. He’s just the cutest little dude! I’m so stoked Stacy and Dave asked me to photograph him again.  Its amazing how big he’s gotten too. Anyway, with it being fall and all we decided to run with that theme and  head to an apple orchard. The colors are always great this time of year and having props such as apples and pumpkins never hurt. Thank you to Stacey and Dave for having capture your little G-g-g-g-g G UNIT again! See you soon I’m sure!

Peace,
JP
