lindsey & ryan: hall of springs

September 24 2009

Two weddings in one weekend are always fun! Our second wedding from this past weekend features Lindsey & Ryan. After googling “cool wedding receptions” says Lindsey she landed on The Hall of Springs on our site. They loved the venue and our work so immediately they had a reception & a photographer! Both Lindsey & Ryan live in NYC and planned their whole wedding miles away from Saratoga. There wasn’t a guest in the building that was from our area. Whenever that is the case its party time for sure. Anyway back to the beginning of the day…

We arrived at The Batcheller Mansion Inn early on Sunday morning while Lindsey & her girls were getting their hair and makeup done. After capturing some details and getting ready shots it was off to their church. My all time favorite church to shoot at in Saratoga is The Bethesda Episcopal Church. I’ll add Lindsey & Ryan chose this church because they saw it on our blog as well. It really is a beautiful building to tie the knot in. After an emotional walk down the aisle, some vows and some rings it was a bubble exit and off to Congress Park for photos. Lindsey’s Mom rented out the Carousel for a couple minutes so we shot there, but thats not it. It was back to the Batcheller Mansion for a couple more images and the stuff on the balcony is just awesome. So after a few more images in that good good light on the grounds of the hall it was party time. As always, its another great one in the books. Lindsey & Ryan we thank you for having us capture your day. Congrats to you both!

Enjoy, leave love,
JP

By the looks of that tree I think its safe to say falls coming early this year.

This room is great to shoot in.

You have to love the next three…

What an awesome shot!

That walk down the aisle as newlyweds has to feel great.

Both these shots were just quick snaps. No setup here, just realness.

Haha! This is how we shoot carousel’s!

Back to the Batchellers. The light!

That image on the right is one of my all time favs.

Lindsey & Ryan both work for Red Bull… you know “it gives you wings”. How could I not shoot the rings like this?

So now we’re at the Hall of Springs for some of that good good light.. but first some sweet b&w’s.

Lindsey loves the camera.

I often like to have my couples sit on the ground and relax so I was shooting them sitting and Lindsey was like “Can we lay down on our backs?” at first I thought she was joking but I was like “YEAH!”. Maybe they drank too much Red Bull and they crashed? Either way, awesome shot.

Love it!

Might be one of my favs of the whole day.

Oh if you were wondering what I mean when I write about that “good good light” just take a look at the image below.

An awesome detail from their first dance.

And I’ll leave you with how the room looked thru out the night… fun colors!

Exceptional pictures of an exceptionally attractive couple. Along with the setting and the spirt of your wedding, anyone can see it was an exceptional day. Congratulations to you both. Warm regards, Peter

  6. Al Woodard (09.25.09)

You are Killing me fellas. All of the “sun play” shots are just nutty! The ring shot and quick candid of the bride also ruled the day. I could go on , but you get the point. I’m shooting at Bethesda today and will be looking for that vows shot from the front right. Thank for the heads up. Later, Al.

What a beautiful day. What beautiful places, everywhere you guys shot was like gold. The rings, beautiful, the couple, beautiful.

I love when a couple’s connection shows thru the images, even without knowing them.

And I love how you say that walk down the aisle as newlyweds has got to be great – JP, that’s you in just over 5 months :)
