lauren & chris: a troy engagement session

Posted in: Engagements

June 30 2010

For the longest time I’ve been trying to get together with Lauren & Chris to shoot this engagement session. Between both our busy schedules and the weather not cooperating I thought this would never happen. Anyway, it did. We were finally able to get on the same page and do the shoot. We chose Emma Willard School since in September Lauren and Chris will tie the knot there and yes the Elario’s will be on the scene. Aside from Emma Willard Lauren wanted to shoot in downtown Troy and particularly in this one spot. I guess the city of Troy just dug up and washed all the original cobblestone on this street and it was pretty much finished up. Needless to say we got some really awesome stuff. We’re looking forward to your big day in September guys!

Peace,
JP

Emma Willard looks so good in b&w, as does the couple.

This place is full of all kinds of really nice spots. I like this one a lot. I was briefed before the session I might have a challenge getting Chris to smile. I love a challenge and it was hardly one by the way.

The lines and texture is straight up sweet sauce.

Lauren and her fun shoes… how comfy does that grass look by the way?

So comfy had them sit down..

and then lay down…

I dont think they wanted to get up.

OK lets head downtown.

This is probably my #1 from the session. The light was at its best right here.

Since the light was so great I shot some more here… Isn’t that yellow flower the best?

Oooh yeah, this one. Yup. I love this one.

Brand spanking new cobblestone courtesy of the city of Troy.

More cool shoes..

A couple more smiles..

I see you Lauren…

And of course, the one and only “bling shot”

What’s really funny, Katie O’, is that I was going to write the same thing: “LOVE the shoes…” Both pairs. You guys look great, and lauren, I love the curly hair (of course) and accessories. And I love the first little wrap dress too.

My favorites – laying down in the grass, sweet, simple, innocent… and the bling shot with the good light coming in the back. All of the shots were flawless. Congrats guys!!! Beautiful background, beautiful couple.
