kara & mike: a back bay engagement session

April 16 2009

Hey hey! Well finally I have some fresh new images for you. It’s been way too long but now is that time of year. The weather is slowly getting better and wedding & engagement season shall begin. This is an awesome time of the year, we’re so pumped to get back into the swing of things. We have two sweet weddings next weekend (24th & 25th) and we can’t wait to shoot them. These weddings will be 4 familiar faces to you all since they did engagement shoots with me so stay tuned!

So onto some new faces to the blog. Kara and Mike, a fun couple living in Boston area and they wanted to do their engagement session in non-other than Boston. When I heard that I was all over it! I really do love mostly everything about Boston… you know where this is going, except the Red Sox, sorry but I’m a Yankee guy. But seriously this city has so much character and charm and that makes it a desirable place to want to shoot. Even if it was pretty cold out, I had a great time photographing these two and look forward to their October 2010 wedding.

Leave me some love,
JP

ps. something very cool coming in the days ahead….

I love the shadows and lighting in this..

Commonwealth Ave is just great.. all kinds of spots.

Might be one of my favorites, so real!

Mike keeping Kara warm… a little snuggle

I think this shot screams spring time. One of the few trees in bloom.

How cool is this shot? The color, I love it.

Another very real shot. When I was shooting this a special tactics officer pulled up in his “ca” and asked if we were shooting an engagement shoot. I’m like damn do I need a permit or something? Nah, nah, he just said congrats in his very Bostonian accent and drove off. The result, a great reaction from Kara & Mike.

A fun one..

my token bling shot… newbury street style.

Well way to make me homesick for Boston, JP!!! Great, beautiful shots. I could totally tell exactly where you were on just about every shot.

I love Boston – without exception. Sorry, I’m a sox fan. Thankfully the playoffs will be over by the time you’re shooting our wedding in November. he he. ;-)
