jessica & jason: the sagamore

Posted in: Weddings

September 15 2011

If I had a dollar for every time I received an email asking if we were available for September 10th 2011 lets just say I could retire. Ok so maybe I’m exaggerating a little? In all seriousness this was the most requested date for 2011. I couldn’t even count the inquiries but last I tried it was at almost 90 interested bride and grooms. Everyone wanted 9.10.11! We only take one wedding a day though and I can’t tell you how excited I am that this was the wedding for nine ten eleven. When I first met with Jessica and her mother Jayne back on Thursday April 8th 2010 I knew we’d be hanging out again last Saturday. We just hit it off so well! Then came Jason who I met seconds before I did their engagement session last summer. I love the guy! How can you not? He’s funny and just a good dude all around. I’ll say it again, and I know I speak for Big Joe as well when I say we couldn’t be happier to have spent September 10th 2011 (9|10|11) at the beautiful Sagamore Resort with you two.

My biggest question about 9.10.11 was will it live up to the hype? I’m not really a pessimist but I was like watch it’s going to pour all day and be freezing cold. Boy was I wrong! Upon opening my sunroof to a ridiculously blue sky on RT 9 in Lake George and seeing my temperature gage hovering around 70 degrees all I could do was smile. Can you say perfect day? I think so. It’s days like this that remind you life is good. What else was good? Well for starters the first person I saw at the Sagamore upon arriving was wedding coordinator Christine Wheat. It’s always a moment of relief when I hear a client tell me they’re working with Christine. Why? Because I know we’re good. Everything will run on time and Christine and her crew will just take care of business. Another face I love seeing in the bridal suite is Alayne of Make Me Fabulous because I know my bride will be ready on time and look drop dead gorgeous. At this point we’re two for two. Wanna make it three for three? Throw in the talents of my incredible wife Kris Ann Elario of Fleurtacious Designs and she’ll make your wedding look awesome. So awesome people will be talking about it for months! Thats how Kris Ann and her talented staff at Fleurtacious Designs bring it. To say I’ve never seen the Sagamore look so good would be an understatement. Talk about a trifecta!

Do I need to tell you how Jessica was more than stunning when she stepped into her gown? You’ll see from her fathers first look how much love was in that place that day. After a quick champagne toast we headed outside with Jess and her girls to take some snaps. You see we feed them alcohol and then photograph them. Totally kidding! After we did our thing with the ladies we headed down to lake to meet up with Jason and his boys. Then the ceremony space started to fill. It was a little windy down there but hey we’re on the lake right? The best thing about the outdoor Sagamore ceremonies is the buildup to when the bride arrives. Its a long walk down many sets of stairs and once Jess and her father got to ground level all stood and it was time. After the ceremony it was time for photos per usual. We literately dodged a mega wave down on the dock. You’ll see it was kinda crazy. With Jess rocking a new hairdo by Alayne for the reception it was time to party. Body and Soul band brought it! The reception was at level 9 then 10 then 11 ;) all damn night! You see what I did there? If guests weren’t in the Elario Photo Booth all night they could be found on the dance floor or even eating up the surprise Ben & Jerry’s ice-cream station! Word, it was like that. Jess, Jason and families we can’t thank you guys enough for having us spend the day with you. Your wedding was simply elegant and one hell of a party. I only wish we could do it again sometime! We got mad love for you all.

Peace,
JP

We remember them from this engagement session

Seriously I wasn’t lying when I said “ridiculously blue sky”

Thats one incredible gown from Angela’s Bridal

and some great shoes as well…

Oh hey there Alayne!!

Ok.. how fabulous can she get?

Wedding coordinator Christine Wheat and the Fabulous Alayne Curtis: As I mentioned above seeing these two ladies in the bridal suite will bring a photographers blood pressure down.

Wow..

Killin it..

This was my favorite moment of the day..

Lots of emotion in this room.

How proud is Dad? and how beautiful is Mom?

I met most of these girls one time with Jess and she was like “this is my bridal party” Seriously? Too much beauty in one photo.

Speaking of gorgeous things.. Fleurtacious Designs brought it!

Yup.

How beautiful is that gown with all the detail? Jess, this dress was perfect.

A nice high key portrait..

The handsome Jason. All men should tie their own bow ties. Pre tied are for proms.

Fellas..

Talk about a beautiful setting. Does it get any better than this?

The moment is here:

I’ll take this view all day.

Mr & Mrs..

Sup bridal party?

They got configured on their engagement session..

and again on wedding day..

Gorgeous..

I love this one..

And then the killer wave(s) came..

Jess just hams it up.. haha

The beauty at the Sagamore is undeniable

One more.. we’ll get back to the bride and groom portraits a little later.

Like I said the Sagamore never looked so beautiful. Mad props to Kris Ann of Fleurtacious Designs and all her ideas to pull together a phenomenal space.

The tent liner is a perfect touch to soften the room up.

Time to set it off..

First dance..

I love this one..

Some toasts…

Ok.. time to have more fun!

I love the resort in the backdrop..

You two and your pretty eyes..

This was my facebook teaser. The color, the butter light. Come on now..

What a view..

:)

Probably something I said..

Surprise! I can vouch that Ben & Jerry’s is a hit at weddings.

Meet 2012 Elario Groom Michael. Trust you’ll see more of this next November… btw I tried these moves last night in the mirror and failed miserably lol.

What a party!

To say the Elario Photo Booth was a hit at this wedding would be a complete understatement. Thanks to Hayden for doing your thing!

Ice cream!

Grrrr! LOL

Caught!

Elario brides rock!!

Congrats to you guys!!!!!!!!

Congratulations Jessica! You look absolutely gorgeous! We are so proud to have you as one of our brides!!

  3. Jenny (09.19.11)

Can you bring the future 2012 groom to our wedding? He’s got serious dancing skills & I think he needs to share them!

On a serious note, such a beautiful bride and hot groom. Amazing photos! It’s hard to pick a favorite!

  4. Jessica Kerley (09.19.11)

JP – We cannot thank you, your Dad and Hayden enough for giving us the gift of these gorgeous pictures! You truly captured the love, emotion and joy that filled the day. These pictures are absolutely perfect, although I had no doubt they would be :) The photo booth was a huge hit and the pictures are absolutely hysterical. People are still talking about how much fun the photo botoh was. We will forever cherish our wedding pictures and we cannot thank you and the rest of the vendors enough – you all made our day absolutely perfect!!!

  5. Joe Elario (09.17.11)

. . a perfect day. . w/a wonderful bridal party group shot, Thank You , Jessica & Jason for going w/”Elario Photography, Inc. “.

  6. Mona (09.16.11)

Ohhhh I LOVE THIS ONE for so many reasons. The colors took my breath away! The blue of the sky and the water are just incredible. What a vivid, vibrant, amazing day! And 9/10/11 – pretty cool, nice work on locking that one down with so many awesome peeps being part of the wedding.
Alayne – can you change the name of your business? Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE make me FABULOUS, but I think you should just rename it “Make me ALAYNE”. You always look so stunning at these sessions. Alayne = fabulous. Same thing right? :)
And of course, Jessica looks fabulous. The dress is so unique with so many pretty little details. She and Jason really have such beautiful eyes – his blue, her green/hazel. They just draw you right in.
I kept looking back at the photos of the ceremony. Oh wow. I mean really? I could just sit there all day looking out. Wow.
To my fave shots: You know I love first looks, and the one between jessica and her dad is no exception. OH I LOVE this. Look at his face. First the “Oh, wow”, then just admiring her beauty, and being playful with her… as if to remind them both that she’s always his little girl, now a bride. I just loved that. Her mom – beautiful, and I LOVE her dress. Seriously, where did you get that? Fits beautiful, so gorgeous. Bridesmaid dresses are a nice touch with the mermaid cut like the bride. Kris Ann – as always amazing work, and the details inside look so soft and elegant.
The shot with the wave is great – where’d that come from? Looked so calm out there! :) Great candid moment.
Love the elario brides and grooms (Michael we’ll be watching for you next year)!!

And as always I LOVE when we catch Big Joe :) Tee hee. :) Adorable.
Guys this one is amazing. Just love the colors and setting so much. Congrats to Jessica and Jason :) :) :) Beautiful!!

  7. Elaine (09.16.11)

Ok, so I’ve been away for a week, and I’m just catching up on blogs! I’m going backwards, so this is the one I started with and… WOW!! Jessica and Jason are such a beautiful couple!! The dress was stunning, and of course, Alayne did such a fabulous job on her hair and makeup! I love the moment between Jessica and her Dad — so sweet! And Kris Ann did an amazing job on all the flowers — the purple/white combo is beautiful. The series of images with the water and mountains in the background are awesome! Jp, Big Joe, you guys did such an amazing job!

  8. Theresa (09.15.11)

  13. leo bojesen (09.15.11)

    this is totally awesome!

  14. Alayne (09.15.11)

As I look at these photos, I just can’t help but think ,”OMG their children are going to have the MOST beautiful eyes. I also agree with Christine, This family was simply amazing to work with and always so wonderful to their vendors!!! The pleasure was all ours!!! Jessica, I am glad we did the hair change. Fabulously, worth it. Especially after that little swim on the dock, LOL!! You are so stunning inside and out in every way, beautiful , smart, sweet and lovely! The scenery behind a Sagamore wedding is probably one of the most beautiful backdrops in upstate! Kris Ann, when I saw the floral arrangements in the back room I was taken back, but in the reception was even more spectacular! This day was so beyond perfect in every way. JP and Joe I told you we always get the pretty brides, but thanks to you we are blessed to get the most amazing photos to show case our beautiful brides. This one is definitely MMF wall worthy!!!

  15. Jayne Shahda (09.15.11)

JP – It’s hard to find the words to describe how happy and grateful we are to you and your dad for these beautiful pictures. They brought tears to our eyes all over again, and we sincerely thank you for capturing the joy and emotions of the day. This was one of the happiest days of our lives, and your pictures will provide memories that we can relive and cherish forever. I can understand why Jess called you immediately after her engagement, and we can’t thank you enough for your advice at our initial meeting. Christine Wheat’s poise, patience, expertise and guidance were essential and I would never attempt to plan any event without her. Fleurtacious Design’s flowers were even more beautiful than we imagined, and enhanced the overall elegance of the room. Make Me Fabulous, Body and Soul, Paper Dolls, Clifton Park Rentals, Dawn from the Sagamore, Tuxego, and Angela’s Bridal Shop all went out of their way to make this day so special. We can’t thank everyone enough!

  16. marianne (09.15.11)

Wow, wow, wow – I was on the edge of my seat for every photo and felt like I was actually there. This looks like a super fun wedding to be at and Lake George as the backdrop is stunning. The bride and groom are gorgeous, the bride’s wedding dress is absolutely beautiful, as are the bridesmaids, the bouquets, the tablescapes and centerpieces are all breathtaking. Everyone looks like they were having so much fun. I think the Elarios have outdone themselves on this one.

  17. Roy Perry (09.15.11)

WOW! and double WOW!. I remember when Jason was just a kid. What a beautiful couple.

  18. Kelly (09.15.11)

Congrats to Jess and Jason once again! Your pics are amazing…as usual! JP-you did a awesome job! My favorite is when Jason is kissing Jess’s forehead, so adorable! There isn’t one pic I didn’t love, what a perfect wedding album!

  19. christine wheat (09.15.11)

Let me just say, I LOVE THIS FAMILY. The bride, her mom and I worked long and hard to come up with the perfect mix of details to show off her vintage lake george concept…these pictures show their success. All of the vendors came together to through an incredible party. Kris Ann rocked it with the flowers, the band kept everyone on the dance floor all night, Beauty team made each lady look perfect, Paperdolls created beautidul stationary treatments, and photo’s — what can I say they are seriously amazing. I have a soft spot for b/w’s but that bridal party portrait is drop dead gorgeous! THIS WAS AN AMAZING WEDDING….I just know I will be friends for life with this family.

  20. Kris Ann (09.15.11)

melissa & andrew: canfield casino

Posted in: Weddings

September 14 2011

Yeeeaaah! (lil john style) It’s time for Melissa and Andrews blog!! I must admit I’ve been looking forward to their wedding since they first signed up! I just love shooting weddings at the Historic Canfield Casino! I mean, who doesn’t? I’m quite positive you blog stalkers remember these two from their engagement session. It was the most viewed engagement session I blogged from 2010! I must say it was one of my favorites as well. Let’s cut to September 9, 2011. It was the beginning of what turned out to be the nicest weekend of the year. In Melissa’s parents home was Tina as in “Flawless by Tina” with her side kick Madeline. The ladies, obviously all were looking good. The house just had a great vibe and good energy! The music was bumping which set the tone that it was going to be a good day. After we smoked it at the house it was time to head to the church and catch up with Andrew and his crew. I gotta give props to Andrew and his boys for purchasing some nice grey suits, I loved it with the ladies pink dresses. Well done! So after the mass we headed to Congress Park for a hot little photo session! The light was at its best right then as you’ll see in the images below. Also I urge you to check out their video on my good friend videographer Al Woodard’s website. It’s awesome!! Back to that energy I talked about earlier, it seriously carried through the rest of the day and into the evening when DJ Paul Malo took the stage. Also the Elario Photo Booth was at level 10 all night long, thanks to Hayden for killing it as usual. All and all, a really wonderful day for some great people! Melissa and Andrew, you both are awesome and we can’t thank you enough for choosing the Elario men to be part of it all. Wherever you’re honeymooning right now best have some wifi so you can peep this blog! Much love!

Peace,
JP

I love the soft, romantic feel of them. And – I have to say – thank you for convincing us to go with the photobooth. Our guests had a great time with it, Hayden was awesome, and we loved looking through all of the pictures. Many many thanks to you, Big Joe and Hayden! :)

    Haha, thanks Big Joe ;-)

  7. Joe Elario (09.14.11)

nice comment Mona . . .you’re getting pretty good at this . .

  8. Mona (09.14.11)

Oooohhhh I love this one! You know, I’m going to start with a slightly non-traditional comment for me here – I’m starting with the groom, Andrew. Why? Because LOOK at his face every time he is near Melissa. What’s he doing. In nearly every shot, he’s giving her a kiss, or just has this look of utter adoration. It’s almost as if the cameras aren’t there, and he’s continuing to take the sight of her in the whole time. It’s beautiful. I love it.
The gray suits are great, and I love the blush colored ties. The ladies look lovely in that soft, blushy pink as well. The theme is carried nicely even into the uplighting of the casino!
Onto the bride! Melissa, you have a beautiful smile and dimples (something I’m sure you’re accustomed to hearing) and you look just beautiful. :) All the details are very soft and romantic, I like it, very nice. :)

I LOVE your “favorite shot of the day”. SO much feeling right there. Also as usual loving the Mr. and Mrs. shot. Note just how relaxed and happy the couples always look right there? Andrew’s face as she is walking down the aisle towards him as well is just awesome.

Really, the key words here – feeling, romance, emotion, love. All great :)

    Congratulations guys!!!!

  9. joe Elario (09.14.11)

. . Melissa & Andrew . . you both were wonderful to work with , ThankYou for going with “Elario Photography, Inc ” .

amanda & kevin: mallozzi’s

September 13 2011

Today we’ll be sharing our labor day weekend wedding. This was Amanda and Kevin’s big day! You probably remember them as I blogged their engagement session back in early July. It started out at Amanda’s parents home where the energy was at level 10! The music was bumping as it should be while Flawless by Tina was wrapping up with Amanda. Cheryl from CASL Productions was in the house too! Before we knew it we headed to the church for the ceremony. After that it was off to the Sage Campus in downtown Troy for all our portrait photos. We always get good stuff there! The ballroom at Mallozzi’s looked awesome thanks to the talented peeps at Fleurtacious Designs. They smoked this wedding as they do for all their brides and grooms! Once Music Man Mike Garrasi began playing tunes the floor was packed! Seriously if they weren’t on the floor they were over with Hayden in the Elario Photo Booth just bugging out. Amanda and Kevin, thanks for choosing us to capture the big day! We all had a blast! I wish you guys nothing but years of happiness. Have fun blog stalking from Hawaii!

Peace,
JP

September 8 2011

Sunday August 28th 2011 around here will be remembered as the day we met Irene who was a hurricane/tropical storm. It will also be remembered as Laura and Edward’s wedding day. I woke up that morning and knew it was going to be a complete wash out but I had one image come to mind that I wanted to get. Lets be honest, there is nothing easy or fun about working in the rain. Now you throw a tropical storm into the mix and it really gets interesting. For starters Glen Sanders Mansion didn’t have power, no biggie though. Mazzone and his peeps are so awesome they were prepared and had a generator. Thats how they roll. The day before this wedding Kris Ann of Fleurtacious Designs (their florist and my wife) told me she was going to bring everything but the bouquets to Glen Sanders that night incase the roads were bad or whatever. Thats right folks she ventured to Glen Sanders around 12am on Saturday night (or Sunday morning) while I was just getting home from my wedding that day. Laura and Edward (aka Trey) were lucky to already have both Kris Ann and Glen Sanders on their side, these guys don’t mess around when it comes to weddings. Back to their day. To save power on the generator for the reception GSM had limited light. Alayne from Make Me Fabulous had to work in the main ball room which was half lit for all their hair and makeup. When we showed up it was a interesting scene to see Alayne setup in the ballroom. Using the light on my iPhone I ventured upstairs to the real bridal suite and determined there was enough window light coming in to shoot the getting ready stuff in there. It was actually fun. Laura had the best attitude about the whole situation. The storm didn’t matter, I called her the day before and she said “Come hell or high water, Trey and I will get married tomorrow!”. Before heading to Union College Chapel we made a spontaneous pit stop at the Stockade Inn. On my facebook status that day Trey mentioned they had a billiards room he thought looked good so ask and you shall receive. Then over at Union College it was time to do the first look. I love their first look, so much excitement and emotion. I also love the fact that we had this beautiful setting to work in. Why don’t more of you guys use this chapel? Its incredible! So they got married, it happened and it was time to head back to GSM. I however had one more shot in mind. Like I said, I woke up thinking about this image. Listen you don’t get married at Union and not get your photo in front of the iconic “Nott” building! All we needed was an umbrella ella ella and boom! Now its party time and the joint was jumping. DJ Jeff Scott proved again he knows how to pack the dance floor. Its not hard with Union College peeps because they know how to party. Laura and Trey, we can’t thank you enough for having us. You were both just so fun as were your families and friends. This is one for the books right? Much love to you!

Peace,
JP

Yup..

Literately the only light was about a 5′ opening behind me.. No flash because thats not how I roll.

You gotta have fun right? Alayne was so funny with this little head light…

I love these b&w’s..

Flowers by Fleurtacious Designs

Once that veil gets put on it’s like you’re officially a bride and thats what Alayne must be expressing here.

A father see’s his daughter for the first time as a bride..

Ok stop right there. Wow. You’re doing it Laura

Over at the Stockade Inn Trey and the fellas..

First look time at the Union College Chapel

A cute little series.. A little fact about these.. Nor myself or my father shot this. Our friend Amanda was working with Kris Ann and I said ok, I’m going to set the tripod up with the 200mm 1.8L, compose the image,  and you shoot the hell out of this first look. Thanks Amanda!!

They were so happy to see each other..

I love the classic look here in b&w..

We had a little overhang… It was raining pretty good behind them.

The yellow flowers look sick (that means awesome) against those bridesmaids gowns.

Laura bought all these crazy umbrellas so we had to use them for one shot..

More stunning bride images..

The Elario Configuration…

We then headed upstairs away from the rain..

This place is gorgeous..

I love this image…

Ok.. its wedding time!!

Trey and the boys on deck..

Laura and dad on deck..

Such a great moment..

Again, I don’t think this place gets used enough. I’d love to shoot more ceremonies here.

This is Laura’s “we did it!” expression.

Mr and Mrs..

OK. While Laura was standing there in this doorway her and Trey were the last people to leave the building. I said, we have to go to the Nott building and take a couple shots. Laura said something like “but its still raining”. I just gave her a look and said “this is why you got married on this campus”. There was a moment of hesitation that was probably 2 seconds but felt like 2 minutes to me and then they went for it. Just so you know, I wouldn’t have let you get on that bus until I got you both in front of that building holing my b&w umbrella.

Not only was this my facebook teaser it was the image I thought of when I woke up that morning. Thank you for trusting me.

A little wind cameo from Irene..

A behind the scenes.. This is special to me because I was so freaking happy I got them outside.

Back at the Mansion the sun actually made a brief cameo.

I’ll end here because I love this image. Congrats you two!

These photos made me HOPE that it rains on my wedding day! Gorgeous.

  2. Kris Ann (09.13.11)

Ok so I am really behind in commenting….. I still can’t believe this day. I was a nervous wreck! So as JP said I went up the night before with all the “hard goods” so I could bring a smaller vehicle the next day. So the morning of I was off and headed to Glen Sanders, I even got the before the rest of the Elario’s (They are always early). As crazy as I thought they day was going to be, everything went perfect! I was so happy to be part of Laura & Trey’s wedding, they were a great couple, have a great family (I love your grandfather :) ) and they embraced Irene and went with it, I don’t think I would have handled myself as well. All the best to you both- KA

Well, as usual, the dynamic duo (that’s you guys, Big Joe and JP), manage to make a day where others were literally boarded in look like just another rainy-ish day! Laura, I’ve got a lot to say about these – first off, when I was following the storm I asked JP if they had a wedding to shoot on Sunday. He said yea, but that they were going to take care of you guys – I had no doubt of course. You are a trooper, and it is so clear from seeing the pics and the look on your face that you kept in mind what the day is all about – you and Trey. :)
    Onto the images:
Doppler ring shot – of course you did :)
ALAYNE – I LOVE the head lamp. Awesome. Again, with these pics you wouldn’t know just how dim it was in there. Looks as bright and crisp as if all the lights were on. but the head lamp – awesome. I had to do that at work once, but that’s another story ;-) Beautiful, and she looks FABULOUS of course.
I have to say, I do love the feelings you guys caught. The look on their faces (esp Laura) has the quality of “We did it” like you said JP, but also it looks like they could easily be the only two in the room right there, just taking each other in.
The rain. NICE. WORK. ON. THOSE. SHOTS. I can’t even begin to scratch the surface, but I love how you can seriously see how much it is raining, and yet they still look pretty damn dry. You guys are brave. The Nott shot – classic, and the little surprise windblow by Irene was a great little candid. :)

These are overall just wonderful. Let this be a lesson for all brides – you can’t let the weather rain on your parade (literally). It’s all about what the day means, and you marrying your groom, becoming family. And if you’re lucky, the rain will even give you some amazingly special pics too. Glad you guys are all safe and sound up there, hope the bride and groom are celebrating somewhere warm… and dry. :)

Sorry I’m behind folks, but growing a baby is tough work ;-)

  7. Amanda (09.9.11)

This wedding was packed with some amazing, dedicated vendors! And I must also give a huge shout out to the amazing family…no hurricane was going to get them down! This wedding was a ray of sunshine amid a dark, dreary day! I was so happy to be a part of it. Thanks for the props Joe! It was fun playing photographer for a few minutes :)

  8. Alayne (09.8.11)

I have so much to say about this blog. First off Mazzone and the staff at Glen Sanders were beyond amazing and I am officially one of their biggest fans. From getting us power, making extra food for us and the bridal party, helping us and the bridal party move all our stuff, all while trying to get a girl out of the stuck elevator. Everyone remained calm and accomodating to this couple and our team!! Jp who was on his game and even though Laura’s dad and I thought it was a bad, bad idea to leave the hotel and go the the Knot… they were closing roads all over Schenectady, it was pouring and the wind was blowing so hard. The bride was determined to get married there and JP was determined to make it happen for her as well! Kris Ann and I thought they were both crazy!! And to my MMF team, who did all the hair and make with no power and no lights most of the time. There was not one of us that wanted to leave our homes that morning, but we did and helped make the day fabulous. This will forever be one of my all time favorite blog posts. Not to mention how stunning every photo is!! Oh and did I mention the bride and her mom were so much fun!!!

  9. Traci (09.8.11)

I never comment on blogs but had to on this one. The emotion and love in these photo’s is INCREDIBLE. I love that they overcame the weather and showed Irene that she was not going to get in the way of their wonderful day! This folks is what weddings are supposed to be ALL about. It is not about all the crazy details that everyone stresses about or how much you spend; it is about the love that a couple shares for one another and sharing the day with your family and friends. AMAZING!

  10. Lindsey Callahan (formerly Blanchfield) (09.8.11)

Laura and Trey – a HUGE congrats!! I have been waiting to stalk this blog post for sooo long! I didn’t doubt that Union College alums would overcome a hurricane if a party was involved!! All the Gamma Phi gals looked absolutely gorgeous (that was expected as well!). Wishing you all the best.

  16. Kristi (09.8.11)

Kristen, I agree. I teared up. They look soooo happy and I love the image of the bride’s veil blowing when they are outside the Nott building. So much emotion in so many of these photos.

  17. Laura (09.8.11)

Good morning from St. Maarten! We can’t thank you enough for being part of our wild wedding day and braving the wind, rain, floodwaters and lack of electricity (COMPLETELY unfazed). I am very lucky to have been surrounded by such an incredible group of people on 8.28. The pictures speak for themselves. . . you are amazing! Thanks again, Jp

The chapel however i will warm gets a little toasty on warm summer days… speaking from Grad school graduation experience! Great shots guys. Congrats guys – Laura you shined enough to make the rain invisable! Hope there was no rain on the honeymoon!!!!

  24. Courtney (09.8.11)

JP, although I am a huge fan on yours, I rarely take the time to comment on the MANY blog posts I stalk but was compelled to for this particular wedding.

This wedding is a real testament to you and your father as true professionals in the field. Your photos are just as beautiful and lovely as those you shoot on the sunniest of days. You didn’t let something that could have potentially ruined your bride/groom’s big day stand in the way of delivering the “Elario magic”. The bride looks beautiful and the photos are perfection. Everyone looks amazingly calm given the circumstances and I am sure it had to do with what you and Big Joe brought to the table. No matter how much people might “flatter you” with imitation, THIS is what sets you apart from other area photogs.

Laura and Trey, congrats to you both! …how lucky are you guys that you got married on such a memorable day?! Who gets so say their wedding went off without a hitch in a HURRICANE!? I love the photos of you guys outside in the rain :)
