time for some video

April 30 2010

With wedding season officially underway I thought it would be fun to kick it off with a little video. Really, this is just a bunch of stuff complied into 6:25 of fun. Thanks to the one and only Al Woodard for hooking me up with clips starting from April of 2009 to November of 2009. I quickly edited this little piece and threw some Dave behind it because Dave just sounds better when its nice outside. It’s basically a fun little compilation of me & Big Joe doing our thing with some beautiful stuff Al captured last season. I know you all like the video so lets get into it.

Peace,
JP

Really love the behind-the-scenes look at what you do. It is clear you two and your wedding parties have A LOT of fun while shooting.

  6. Mona (05.2.10)

Another fun thing to try – reading your guys’ lips as you’re guiding the bridal party, or talking to the camera! Fun fun :)

  7. Alissa (05.2.10)

I LOVE THIS!!! This is the first video footage I’ve seen from the wedding and I am so pumped! Thanks so much for posting this!

  8. Katie O' (05.2.10)

I LOVE this….it brings back SO many awesome memories from Alissa + Shane’s Wedding day…seriously one of the MOST fun weddings ever. Thanks for sharing this!!

  9. joe Elario (05.2.10)

Mr Woodard (aka director) instructed the duck thing , he really did.

  10. Sonia (05.2.10)

This video generates so much excitement! What a fabulous team! I can’t wait….3 more weeks! Great work guys!!! P.S. I love these video segments in the blog! More please:)

  11. Kim (05.2.10)

Wow! How fun to see you both in action! our family cannot wait until June!! By the way, do you always coordinate your ties to the bridal party color scheme or is it coincidence? Either way, you guys are a class act!

  12. Nicole (05.2.10)

So Fun! It is amazing to watch all of you work and this is so great to watch…to see the motion and how things all come together. Dream Team is the perfect term Mona…Posts like these make 2010 brides like me OVER THE TOP excited for the big day. Thanks for putting the footage together and sharing :-)

  13. natalie (05.1.10)

Hah! this was so fun to watch! how did al get the ducks to do that at the same time? :)

  14. Anthony (05.1.10)

It was nice to see some of my own bride and grooms, Sean & Jaimee, Shane & Alissa having so much fun on their wedding day. once they leave the tux shop I don’t ever get to see them enjoying their wedding day. I do get invited occassionally but unless it is an obligatory family to a friend I don’t often go. I’m thankful for the photos and thank you notes couples send so I can see what they looked like together, but I really appreciated the live action. JP you are a show unto yourself. It was so funny that it seemed you were moving to the music at times even though the music was after. You have an entertainers personality, I’m not sure what side of the camera you should be on :o) TC

  15. Mona (04.30.10)

Love it, love it, LOVE it. :) Made me smile all over again. Loved seeing all the other bride and grooms who had the dream team of you and your dad, and the one and only Al Woodard. :)

After seeing so many of the couples in pictures, it was so nice seeing them actually moving about and laughing and such. Well done. Proud to be among those captured by you guys. Fun. :D <3

  16. Lisa (04.30.10)

LOL!! I LOVE this!! I am so glad Jerome and I doing our farmer dance in a field is at least set to Tripping Billies!!! Keep up the GREAT work guys! Can we do it again?? PLEASE!!!!

  17. Kara D (04.30.10)

Makes me even more excited for 64 days from today!! Shout out to the Big Joe and Little Joe 2010 Brides to be! It’s almost here ladies!

  18. Maria (04.30.10)

The two of you are a class act!

  19. Elizabeth (04.30.10)

This is awesome! I’m getting SO excited for August!!!

  1. Brian (05.26.10)

I would be interested in knowing what canon gear you carry with you in your bag.

  2. Valerie (02.6.10)

Part 2 was great! You guys should definitely do a workshop! I have a Canon that I would LOOOOVE to get some “real” training on…. only so many books I can read :)
    As always, great job Elario’s!

  3. Alayne (02.4.10)

Hey guys, of course I love the what time should everyone be ready question. FYI, Many always say that the bride should go last for hair and makeup. Not so… She should go first or in the middle so no one rushes on her preperations. She is the most important one and you guys are ALWAYS early!!

  4. Lelia (02.2.10)

One more question, if it hasn’t already been asked. How much processing do you do on your photos? Any photoshop actions? Do you use Rad Actions?

  5. Rose (01.30.10)

I really enjoy your blog – it’s fun to get to know my cousins. I would also love to attend your workshop – photography is a great hobby of mine.

  6. Sonia (01.30.10)

JP, love, love, love this segment! You are both great on camera! What about your own television show??!!Hope to see more of these segments!

  7. Johan (01.28.10)

Thanks for the Nikon Canon answer :) that makes sense to me… Its about getting the shot. I personally agree with your dad… the ergonomics of a Nikon is what i love about them.

  8. Mona (01.27.10)

Wait, actually that was three questions for me. Thaaaaanks :)

Ditto on the workshop. Of course I’ll someday need to buy more than my rectangular point and shoot thing. :)

  9. Allison (01.26.10)

You guys do great work! Keep it up.

  10. Bob (01.26.10)

My jacket was on the entire night! Great stuff guys, and if you ever do a workshop, you know I’ll be there.

  11. Mona (01.26.10)

Two thumbs up! Look at me, I got TWO (actually, two and a half) questions answered. :) Awwww. Thanks guys!!! You really *do* like me! (Or maybe it’s because I asked a thousand questions…) :D

Loving the Q&A. I have no doubt that as the night goes on, your jacket will be on. I think Andrew kept his on the whole time too. :)

Thanks again guys for taking the time to do all this. Love it!

  12. Kate (01.26.10)

I think my father said it best, “[Your talent] is truly an artistic gift that could never be learned ( only inherited)!” Now, for all of these sponsorship mentions, as someone in digital marketing, I have to ask…why don’t you have ads on your blog? You should get on that…there is a lot of revenue to be earned!!

Keep up the good work! :)

  13. Al Woodard (01.26.10)

You fellas rock! Informative, nicely paced, fun & funky. Bring on part 3!

  14. Kat (01.26.10)

My father always said, “a true gentleman always keeps jacket on!” SO I’ll be watching!! And I would sooooo sign up for a work shop! Let me know if you do it! I’ll bring a banana for Pops and resese for you!

q&a: i need questions!

Posted in: Random, Video

January 14 2010

Hey gang! I need questions and I want them asap! If any blog stalkers out there or brides, grooms, photographers or whatever have questions I want you to ask them to me! Big Joe and I are going to do a video blog in response to all the questions you ask. Well, maybe not all….  If you want to know where we enjoy shooting receptions the most, ask it! If you want to know what time you and your bridesmaids should be dressed and ready, ask it! If you wanna know what kind of hair product I use, ask it! I use a lot btw. Just leave them in the comment box below or if your too shy to comment then email me them jp@joeelariophotography.com.

This is going to be fun!
JP

ps. Thanks for all the questions & comments! I’m going to turn off the “ad comment box” for now since I’m officially done accepting questions. Check back for the answers video post soon!
