layla & jade: washington park

Posted in: Kids / Family

October 8 2009

Anyone who’s been following our blog for the past year would easily remember a post from last October titled: Layla, Julie & Tommy: Washington Park. That was one of my favorite kid/family sessions of all time. So in our business the ultimate compliment is being asked to shoot something again for the same client. This time Layla, Julie & Tommy had a new addition to the family they wanted photographed. This is where the Jade comes in. Just under 4 months old Jade was a good sport and did a fantastic job posing for me. We went back to the same location just shy of two days to the exact date we shot it last year. It was like a carbon copy afternoon, a little warmer but an awesome day all around. As you can see from the feature image above they decided to bring along their 4 year old French Bulldog Stella. Frenchies rock, Kris Ann & I love them but more on that later. So I’m just as excited to share these images as I was last year! I hope to make this an annual thing with the Carrk family. Thanks for having me back! Congrats on Jade, she’s adorable!

Enjoy, leave love,
JP

Love this one…. its so hard to take the color out of fall photos but it works here.

Julie with the girls.

They both have the most amazing eyes right?

This reminds me of an image from last years shoot.

Pretty sweet backdrop right? Such a good looking family.

Don’t worry Stella, we didn’t forget ya.

I’ll leave you with the two girls..

baby esther

August 17 2009

Every now and then I get a chance to shoot an adorable baby. Usually the baby is one of my past bride & grooms since thats what people do after they get married. Esther however is the niece of one of my past bride and grooms Andrea & Andy. Andrea’s brother Phil and his wife Andi were given a gift certificate from Grandma Lodico for a shoot. Since this family lives out of town we coordinated schedules and a little over a month ago this is what we got. How cute is Esther though? Actually the whole family is pretty good looking.

Enjoy, leave love,
JP

When we first started Esther wasn’t too into me….

Then she came around.

A couple solos with Mom.

Not to leave out Dad.

I just love this outtake!

This one is going to make a sweet gallery wrap.

Fun little series.

Get your crawl on Esther!

I love this one.

And I’ll leave you with one of my favorites.

andrew: 1 year old

April 22 2009

I can’t believe I didn’t blog these back in February when I took them. Anyway I thought I would share a few images for fun. This little dude had the greatest eyes! These are just a small sampling of what we got that day.

Enjoy,
JP

What a great colored backdrop for a baby to be photographed on…

We got these reactions by covering his face with a blanket and having Mom pull it off his head.

The sad eyes, about to tear up.

One of the family, you might remember Liz & Jason.

it’s never too cold outside.

December 30 2008

Why sit inside and wait for the tulips? The winter can be such a nice time of year if you embrace it. When I photograph couples during the summer it may be short sleeves or a skirt, so why not rock an Elmer Fudd cap and some boot’s with the fur, with the fur! The whole club was lookin’ at her, ok let me stop!

It was very flattering when long time friend and photographer Christina Primero asked me to photograph her with her two beautiful kids. When we scheduled this shoot there was a ton of snow on the ground but it all melted Sunday when we had temperatures in the mid 50’s, something tells me we’ll be getting more very soon. Not having snow was no biggie at all, I love they way these turned out. These kid’s are seriously photogenic and I really enjoyed capturing that.

Enjoy & have a happy new year, lot’s of good stuff coming in 2009!
JP

I knew Christina when she was a student at albany High School. Her children have the same lovely face and smile that she had then, and still has. You did a great job of capturing their beauty.
