natalia & john’s engagement session!

Posted in: Engagements

June 23 2011

Ok.. what we have here is a great looking couple at a wonderful location, topped off with some sweet light! Seriously it doesn’t get much better my friends. When Natalia first mentioned to me last year she wanted to shoot at John’s Aunt Pat and Uncle Peters home I was like cool! She said something about it having nice gardens and flowers. Honestly at first glance of this old home I fell in love. I believe the original part of the home dates back to the 1820’s. I want to move in. Plus they’re close to my favorite chicken wing spot but that’s for a whole other blog post. Anyway, photographing these guys here was a blast. I loved exploring the property! October 15, 2011 cant come quick enough so we can have some more fun! Thanks again guys!

Peace,
JP

When they start out this nice you know its going to be good..

These guys are so fun and pretty easy to photograph.

cute..

A couple b&w’s..

Aaaah the light..

Don’t they look so comfortable?

A configuration..

A wardrobe change.. dont worry the gargoyle isn’t coming to the wedding ;)

I love this one..

With a name like Natalia you have to know how to sass it up..

Another favorite..

I just loved this porch.

My facebook teaser image..

Off the master bedroom was this balcony. Imagine this your view every morning?

Ok.. we’re on Glass Lake and it looks like glass. Coincidence? PS.. I love this color!!

Adjectives to describe this image:  Warm and buttery..

another favorite.

How cute?

I’ll say it again.. I love the color!

Oh hey now.. ;)

I told them I forgot how to do the bling shot and they just laughed at me..

Forget how to do my token bling shot? Neverrrrrrr! See you guys soon, thanks again!!

engagement session with lindsay & chris!

Posted in: Engagements

June 1 2011

Last week I had a great time photographing Lindsay and Chris! How could I not? I had a great looking couple and awesome lighting! What more could a photographer ask for? We set things off totally laid back and casual then kicked it up a little on the second leg of the session. I equally love both parts of the shoot. Anyway Lindsay and Chris are set to wed in a year and one month from now and you know we’ll be there to capture it all. Can’t wait for the big day! Thanks for having me capture your e session!

Peace,
JP

As always I like to set my shoots off nice and easy. Meet Lindsay and Chris.

It was around this point of the session I knew I was going to be happy with what I was about to capture..

Love me some of that light.

I just love this whole series under the trees. The color is sweet!

This might be one of my favorites from the day.

Just Lindsay because she looked all awesome and what not..

A mini wardrobe change. Love this image..

I love new spots in locations I’ve shot at numerous times.

A little configuration I happen to like ;)

A location change… an outfit change..

I like this one..

Simple backdrops..

I love me some yellow..

I love this damn spot!

Yummy light..

my facebook teaser that you would have saw on Wednesday night if we were friends ;)

one more..

Oh hey there big awesome diamond ring…

I consider this location one of my staples when I shoot in Albany. I’ve been shooting here for years. It never gets old and never disappoints.

We’ll finish up here with my token “bling shot”.. Thanks again guys! July 7, 2012 will be here before you know it!

lake george engagement session with isabel & dave

Posted in: Engagements

May 17 2011

I must admit I’m pretty excited to share this one with you guys. It’s got all the ingredients for a killer blog post. Gorgeous couple, check. Stunning location, check. An incredible boat, check. All good stuff here! We set things off up in Bolton Landing which is where Dave’s parents own a home. We then ventured down to their friends boathouse where this awesome Hacker Craft waited for us. I have to tell you that I never get tired of shooting on these boats let alone Lake George. The light was right, the wind was calm and Isabel and Dave brought it. I can’t wait for their September wedding but until then enjoy their engagement photos! Thanks again guys!

Peace,
JP

I’ve shot all over Lake George but this is probably one of my favorite vantage point..

I love all the color in this one.

It didn’t take Isabel and Dave too long to warm up to the camera…

I love when couples make each other laugh and smile..

You can see the property in the back there. Thanks to your friend who’s name escapes me right now for driving us around!… ps. love this shot.

Isabel, you’re stunning. I think you can tell by this image Dave agrees..

Hey hey hey eyes on the water please..

Some wonderful light in the boathouse..

Insert pretty girl here:

A little wardrobe change… Fact: it took Dave longer to change. Just saying.. ;)

Dave grew up on this dock for years. Many memories at Anchorage. I’m glad to have captured one more..

All the texture and ropes and stuff are awesome in this.. not to mention the people ;)

The facebook teaser.

How great is this spot?

Loving this one.

Dave you didn’t tell me you modeled… he’s a blog stalker and knows all about the configuration shot..

right before it was time to do the bling shot I saw a butterfly and took a pic. Then Dave picked it up so I took a pic. ;)

We’ll end with my token “bling shot” as we always do over here. See you two in September!!

saratoga engagement session with christine & dan

Posted in: Engagements

April 27 2011

After many scheduling conflicts and weather delays I was finally able to capture Christine and Dan’s engagement session. Seriously, we’ve been trying to do this for some time now! Last week everything fell into place and I was able to hook it up in Saratoga Springs. These two will be tying the knot in September this year. Christine and Dan actually met in Saratoga back in 2005, we’ll get to the location a little later in this post. Anyway, their reception is in Saratoga at my favorite place. Any guesses? We had a great time capturing these images and I’m really looking forward to working with this couple again later this year. I swear these two never stopped smiling throughout the whole session. See for yourself.

Peace,
JP

Meet Christine and Dan.. I’d have to say this shot right here is classic Congress Park.

See what I mean? Always smiling..

This one was teased on my facebook.. I feel like this little tree is really trying to bloom.. Come on spring!

a cute little series..

I just loved this shot of Christine alone… she’s going to make an awesome bride.

A little configuration.. Dan, don’t get mad I cut you out ;)

and another..

Well hey there new outfits and fun patterns…

love it.

I love the subtle movement here..

might be my #1 from their whole session.

a little splash of color.

Here’s one of my favorite walls in downtown Saratoga. I hope they never paint it.

Christine and Dan met here at the “Tin & Lint” back in 2005, true story. ;)

It was like the perfect wall for their clothing..

Another fav..

a little romance..

and a little more.. Fact: high school boys were whistling at Christine here.

Show me your bling! Another token “bling shot” for the books! Congrats to you guys and we’ll see you real soon!

Christine and Dan, you guys look great together. The shots around saratoga were really nice – saw a few newer, different shots than I’ve seen in a while. It’s nice to see around town, AND around congress park of course. I have too many faves – probably all the same as JPs. Love it. Love the teal colored wall, all the settings really. Seriously JP I feel like it’s been a while since we’ve seen a saratoga e-session that incorporated the town more too. I like. :)
