I’m pretty pumped to share this one because of it’s unique location and oh yeah, the awesome people I photographed there! When Jamie emailed and told me about her “mansion themed” engagement session I was all “hell to the yes, that sounds awesome!!”. I just love new unique locations. It’s fun for me!
This old house ;) is located in Staatsburgh NY. I know, I was like “where am I driving?”. I was given a little history on this location from my friend and 2010 Elario bride Elisabeth.(happy almost anniversary!). So here goes.. The Mills Mansion was the home of noted financier and philanthropist Ogden Mills and Ruth Livingston Mills. In 1832 Ogden’s in laws acquired the site and built a 25 room mansion. 63 years later Mr & Mrs Mills remodeled the home into a Beaux-Arts mansion with 65 rooms and 14 bathrooms. Pretty impressive huh?
I loved shooting here. More importantly, I loved photographing Jamie and Brian. Back in early 2011 when they hired us for their October 13th 2012 wedding we immediately clicked. They’re an easy duo to love. I’m so happy I took the 1.5 hour drive south to capture these images for you guys! This was a great night! Can we hurry up and fast forward to 367 days from now when you get hitched?
Peace,
JP

your work is amazing….
Absolutely beautiful. The photo where the two of you are holding hands in front of the tree as the sun goes down…totally reminds me of pride & prejudice. I almost cried. I’m not kidding. Love it!!!
looooovvvvveeee the shadow photo. Its is awesome!!
Oooh another great new location!!! I love this. FIrst of all – JAMIE – I LOVE THAT DRESS. Where did you get it? Not that I would fit into something like that at 6 months pregnant but hey, afterwards!!! It is stunning!
I like the props, the picnic made me hungry. Mmmm. :)
You guys look just great together. Ok back to the picnic. So classic and classy in this location.
The. Shadow. Shot. Awesomeness. Yummy light. Love the earlier outfits too, and I agree Jamie you are quite glowing and beautiful! Of course, made fabulous as well.
Can’t wait for more. Congratulations!!! JP – loving the mug shot cameos :)
OOOh. ANd NICE BLING. :) Yayyy!
WHERE DO I START!??!?! Ok, first, thank you everyone for all the beautiful and kind words!!! It’s so wonderful to hear that others are enjoying our pictures too! To Joe Elario, THANK YOU for doing what you do and having an incredibly talented son! We feel so fortunate to work with both of you and couldn’t imagine having it any other way for our wedding day. Jp, these pictures are out-of-this-world amazing. Breathtaking!! I’m still drooling. I absolutely love all of the pictures!!! I’d love to talk about my favorites, but it’s impossible to just pick a couple since so many are jaw-droppingly amazing! You NAILED the tattoo shot…the picture is the EXACT one I had in mind and you’re right..I LOVE IT!! Perfect!! And we definitely surpassed butter light and took it to the highest level of “i can’t believe it’s not butter light”! Finally, ummm i’m pretty sure you were making some silly faces in the last picture too…what gives?!?! Ha! Jk ;) The silliness is the epitome of my life! All in all we couldn’t be happier (as Brian so eloquently stated below) and can’t wait to do it all again for our big day!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
JP,
Thank you so much for you and your team to take the time to post this blog. This all looks so fantastic, and Jamie and I are just blown away by your talent.
Also, thanks for so many complements and warm words below!
We look forward to seeing the rest of these pics, and of course working with you again when the wedding date arrives next October 13, 2012.

Staatsburgh State Historic Site never looked so good! Amazing photos and a beautiful couple!

And . .Thank You Jamie & Brian for going with “Eario Photography, Inc.”.
AMAZING! Love that coral dress, perfect choice!
Are they getting married there too? Have you ever been there at Christmas time? Totally worth the drive– so beautiful what they do to the mansions down there for Christmas!! We used to go down to see the decorations every year!
These are so beautiful! The shadow photo is absolutely incredible. Hope they hang that one up!!
Beautiful Pictures…lots of creativity here !! I love it!!
WOW! What an amazing location and matched with an amazing couple! I’m sure you guys had a blast!! You can tell by the images!
Absolutely fantastic. Love it every bit. Great pictures. Man you lucky to stay in a place where you get such a brilliant light. Too good.
Great pictures, totally rocking.
By the way she is very pretty, looks so casual in her earlier part and then as you mentioned hotness is served :)
WOW Might be one of my favorite engagements blogs this year! This location was awesome! Her dress rocked and of course the pictures are stunning, but I already expected that!
Fantastico!!! The forehead kiss/shadow shot is wonderful! Love Jamie’s second outfit!! The picnic setup was sweet :) another great blog!!!!
Plenty of things to love about this blog… unique location, fun and photogenic couple, great light, awesome colors, just to name a few! Even though you always have a way of making a location special for each couple, its the best when there’s a new location!! Those are always my favorite blogs. It’s hard to choose a favorite — I love the ones with the “picnic”, but how could you not love the ones with the light and the fall colors?? The color and movement of Jamie’s dress is amazing in those! Oh and I love the forehead kiss/shadow image!! Great engagement shoot Jp!! :)
