time for some video

April 30 2010

With wedding season officially underway I thought it would be fun to kick it off with a little video. Really, this is just a bunch of stuff complied into 6:25 of fun. Thanks to the one and only Al Woodard for hooking me up with clips starting from April of 2009 to November of 2009. I quickly edited this little piece and threw some Dave behind it because Dave just sounds better when its nice outside. It’s basically a fun little compilation of me & Big Joe doing our thing with some beautiful stuff Al captured last season. I know you all like the video so lets get into it.

Peace,
JP

  6. Mona (05.2.10)

Another fun thing to try – reading your guys’ lips as you’re guiding the bridal party, or talking to the camera! Fun fun :)

  7. Alissa (05.2.10)

  11. Kim (05.2.10)

Wow! How fun to see you both in action! our family cannot wait until June!! By the way, do you always coordinate your ties to the bridal party color scheme or is it coincidence? Either way, you guys are a class act!

  12. Nicole (05.2.10)

So Fun! It is amazing to watch all of you work and this is so great to watch…to see the motion and how things all come together. Dream Team is the perfect term Mona…Posts like these make 2010 brides like me OVER THE TOP excited for the big day. Thanks for putting the footage together and sharing :-)

  13. natalie (05.1.10)

Hah! this was so fun to watch! how did al get the ducks to do that at the same time? :)

  14. Anthony (05.1.10)

It was nice to see some of my own bride and grooms, Sean & Jaimee, Shane & Alissa having so much fun on their wedding day. once they leave the tux shop I don’t ever get to see them enjoying their wedding day. I do get invited occassionally but unless it is an obligatory family to a friend I don’t often go. I’m thankful for the photos and thank you notes couples send so I can see what they looked like together, but I really appreciated the live action. JP you are a show unto yourself. It was so funny that it seemed you were moving to the music at times even though the music was after. You have an entertainers personality, I’m not sure what side of the camera you should be on :o) TC

  15. Mona (04.30.10)

Love it, love it, LOVE it. :) Made me smile all over again. Loved seeing all the other bride and grooms who had the dream team of you and your dad, and the one and only Al Woodard. :)

After seeing so many of the couples in pictures, it was so nice seeing them actually moving about and laughing and such. Well done. Proud to be among those captured by you guys. Fun. :D <3

  16. Lisa (04.30.10)

LOL!! I LOVE this!! I am so glad Jerome and I doing our farmer dance in a field is at least set to Tripping Billies!!! Keep up the GREAT work guys! Can we do it again?? PLEASE!!!!

  17. Kara D (04.30.10)

Makes me even more excited for 64 days from today!! Shout out to the Big Joe and Little Joe 2010 Brides to be! It’s almost here ladies!

  18. Maria (04.30.10)

The two of you are a class act!

  19. Elizabeth (04.30.10)

liam in the park

Posted in: Kids / Family

April 29 2010

I’m sure you all remember Kathleen & Kevin from 2008. Well I had the opportunity to catch up with them along with their 8 week old baby boy Liam. We shot a quick little session in Albany’s Washington Park. This little guy’s super cute and did really well while braving the cold and the wind at his young age. It’s always flattering when previous clients have you back to photograph their new additions! Thanks Kathleen & Kevin, it was great seeing you both and congrats!

Peace,
JP

Just one of my fav images from their September 2008 wedding…

This is easily my fav from the whole shoot. The color and his expression are just awesome!

Oliver came along for the shoot.. Doesnt he look like an Oliver?

How cute is he? I love that little sweater vest.

The fam!

Kathleen thought it would be cute to put him in a little basket. Liam, not feeling it much.

But Kevin thought it would be cute to Yankee it up along with a baseball glove. Liam liked this much more. Also he’s sticking his tongue out to all the Red Sox fans!

meara: spring time washington park

Posted in: Kids / Family

April 27 2010

Thats right peeps. It’s that time of year in Albany! That little two week window where the tulips pop up thru out the city. I say you have a two week window since after the Tulip Fest the parks pretty beat up. I’ve been shooting in Washington Park for years now and I can say that right this moment the park is at its peak. This week and early next week is time to take pics in the park and I have some availability if anyone wants to snag up a session. Just email me.

Anyway, you all remember Meara right? Well we were totally due for a Meara session so why not shoot in the park again? I can say with confidence Meara’s mom Jen has been able to take advantage of Washington Park at it’s two most beautiful times of the year, fall & spring. It’s amazing how big little Meara got since last time I saw her. Babies grow so fast! I just love photographing this little one, she’s a ball of fun and happiness. Enough of my jabber, lets look at some pics.

Peace,
JP

How stinking cute is she? Look at those big eyes!

I love shooting in front of the grape hyacinthe… kris ann told me what it was ;)

So this is funny… some woman insisted on taking my camera and taking a pic of the three of us. I think she thought I was the daddy.

I love these two side by side. Meara and her little baby in hand.  The image on the right is just awesome.

As kids grow they figure out how to be cute and silly… Meara’s new thing is sticking her tongue out.

This is just my number one favorite image from the day. I love the light, color, composition an Meara’s expression.

This image screams spring!

This same area yellow’s up in the fall but the difference in the spring yellow and fall yellow is so distinct. How cute is she by the way?

One thing about Jen is she’s always got Meara styling it up.

My fav steps to shoot on.

Look at those mini chucks! There were so many great images from this session. I wish I could have blogged them all! Great seeing you guys again!

nicole & brian: engagement session

Posted in: Engagements

April 26 2010

I’m back! Yeah thats right, it’s time to start cranking out some blog posts. We’ll set things off with Nicole & Brian, these guys are tying the knot in just less than two months! We’ve been trying to get this engagement session done for some time now but so many things had conflicted our schedules. That being said, I’m glad we finally got on the same page because I have awesome images to share with you and they have awesome images documenting this time in their life’s. June 18th can’t come soon enough for these guys. So lets get into these images!

Peace,
JP

We’ll start nice and easy here….

Nicole’s has some great eyes…

I really love this image.

Just chillin’

A wardrobe and location change. SNGC is where their wedding is so why not grab some engagement shots there? I really like this image its just peaceful.

The sky was just awesome.

Seriously, if you get a blue sky and some puffy clouds you’re all good.

I love this. It’s just fun!

This too is a favorite of mine.

Then the sun went in. Thats ok, I’ll take this light any day.

The contrast between the two sky’s is pretty wild. I love the soft color palette in this image.

Lades & gentlemen, the one and only “bling shot”. Holler! See you guys in June!
