beth & chris: glen sanders mansion

Posted in: Weddings

June 29 2009

This is the first installment of two weddings shot this past weekend. So on Friday June 26th it was Chris & Beth’s turn to tie the knot. The weather was questionable all weekend but cooperated when needed. As soon as we needed it to stop raining on Friday it did and then the sun got it’s shine on :). It actually turned out to be a nice day. The rain did comeback however and that was right after the feature image above was taken around 8:30pm. I love June weddings because you can shoot so late into the night!

A great time by all and lots of fun working with videographer Lance Wheeler and Tim Wedeman from AMS DJin’.

Enjoy, leave some love and check back later this week for another wedding post!
JP

I always love shots like this:

Classic B&W?

Or color?

Loving the colors you get before a late day thunder storm.

Favorite of the day.

Not only did I catch some fireworks but some lightning.. look closer.

And in typical 4th of July holiday fashion here ya go:

sarah & ben: engagement session

Posted in: Engagements

June 22 2009

Hey all! Today I’ll be sharing images from Sarah & Ben’s engagement session I shot last week in Saratoga. We started the session in front of the Hall of Springs and worked our way down to the Avenue of the Pines. Sarah & Ben’s October wedding is at the hall so we decided to shoot the session there. We look forward to working with this couple in just 4 moths from now!

Enjoy, leave love.
JP

We’ll start out in the front of the hall.

The good light started to come out here.

But then we stumbled on this!

I’m a big fan of this spot…

My favorite of the night.

Maybe this is too.

Ok one more in the little field.

A quick change of clothes and onto the Avenue of the Pines…

The bugs were killing us here but we all survived!

Look at her working it!

The blue was the perfect color choice.

A quick little break in traffic…

As always we end with my “bling shot” nice ring and rolex ;)

Your style is unique and at the same time simple. You frame your subjects with what you keep in and out of focus in your shots. Very nice!

  2. Chris R (06.26.09)

I’d like to see more of those dashing argyle socks.

  3. Alisha (06.22.09)

I believe that’s a blue Calvin Klien dress. nice!

  4. JM E (06.22.09)

. . beautiful images . . only wish I could say it as well as Mona does.

  5. sarah (06.22.09)

    :) :)

diana & bob: saratoga national

June 19 2009

Another sweet wedding here I’m happy to share with ya’ll. Diana & Bob tied the knot on Saturday June 13th at St Marys Church in Ballston Spa. There is something to be said about first looks too because had Diana & Bob not opted for a first look then after the ceremony we would have been taking photos indoors. Needless to say it rained when we normally would have done all the portraits and what not and rain is no fun. So we did all the portraits in Congress Park which is always a fun spot in toga so shoot. The folks over at Saratoga National rocked as always. The cocktail hour was awesome, so many good snacks. It was a pleasure working along side the one, the only, Mr Al Woodard as well. Oh yeah, you guys remember Diana & Bob right? I shot their engagement session back in July last year. Anyway, Diana & Bob congrats to you both and thanks for having us capture your wedding.

Enjoy. Leave love because Diana ALWAYS comments on all my posts, almost as much as Mona ;)
JP

Getting ready shots are always fun.

The token bridesmaids goofin shot.

So here’s the first time I met Diana at LynnMarie’s wedding back in 2005.

Loving these.

Some nice work by David at Renaissance Floral Design

And the first look here:

Classic old school B&W in the historic park.

and a color one. totally symmetric, totally traditional. love it.

My favorite of the day.

For my photo friends, does anything get better than the 200 1.8?

As you can see in the church image, the rains a coming.

Its moments like this between the bride and her father that I love.

Classic “Elario” double angle going on.

I want some of that guacamole now!

Again, the room by David at Renaissance Floral Design

I’ll end with this real moment.
