Last thursday I busted out the winter coat to meet up with a past bride of ours in an alley way. Sounds sketchy huh? It wasn’t. Donna wanted to have her three beautiful daughters photographed. It’s like having three mini Donna’s running around I swear! Anyway, Donna had this great idea of putting them in these tutu’s and converse, so I had the idea of the alley way. I was really excited to shoot them and the light was just perfect. Did I mention it was cold out? Well these poor things toughed it out for about an hour while I photographed them. Thanks for having me capture the beauty of your girls, looks like your husband Joe is going to have his hands full.

Enjoy -

When Kristina from Cameo Couture contacted me about doing another shoot for some new accessories they needed photographed I was excited. I always enjoy photographing their stuff. So we shot last Monday and I had the pleasure of photographing Mariah again. You might remember Mariah from this post. She’s slowly becoming the face of Cameo Couture. Of course this shoot would not have been possible with out the talents of Alayne Curtiss, owner of Make Me Fabulous. Alayne always kicks butt.

Enjoy, check back this week for more updates-

Look at Mariah killin it here…

Its amazing how a group of people can come together and create something as beautiful as these photos. It definetly could not have been done without JP’s expertise with the camera, Alayne’s artistic hand with her products, and Kristina’s awesome designs. Once again, another successful shoot. As always, it’s a pleasure to work with such great people.

    Til next time..

    Mariah

With pictures like this, what more can I say about how great this shoot was?! It’s always a pleasure working with such talented artists as Alayne and JP, and as gorgeous a model as Mariah. Nothing tickles us more as designers than to see our designs captured like this. Thanks a million – can’t wait to see what we can all cook up next season!

maria & kevin: glen sanders mansion

October 23 2008

What up blog watchers? As I promised here are some photos from Maria & Kevin’s wedding. This wedding was a prefect end to a great weekend. Their wedding ceremony was held at St Sophia Greek Orthodox Church, it’s not often we get to work in a Greek Church so I wanted to show a lot of images from the ceremony. We had some daylight left by the time we got up to Glen Sanders so we quickly banged out the formal photos and then had some fun with Maria, Kevin and the last minutes of daylight. The light was actually really beautiful, it always is late in the day at Glen Sanders. The party started out on a high note with quite a first dance preformed by Maria & Kevin. The guests were really into it and applauded their every move, well done guys.

Thanks for having us photograph your wedding. Enjoy, leave love-
JP

The bling bling.

Alayne from Make Me Fabulous putting some final touches on this young lady.

This technique in the industry is called “Uncle Bob’s Flash”. It’s when we take a picture and a wedding guest helps backlight/sidelight it for us. I really like how this one turned out.

See what I mean about that daylight?

I love these next 3…

It’s not Miami folks, its Scotia NY.

Great dip!

ReRe & Kev’, You two look absolutely beautiful. My favorite is the one that looks as if it is Will Smith’s shadow on the white wall instead of Kev’s. I am really impressed with all that is captured-lots of love, light, and life. “Fuego!”

jill & chris: the state room

Posted in: Weddings

October 22 2008

The first of our two weddings this past weekend feature’s Jill & Chris. This couple had the most requested Saturday in October and they should have, they booked their wedding back in May of 07. The ceremony was at St Mary’s church in downtown Albany. After the ceremony we went out to the middle of state st for some fun photos, the light was pretty much gone however some good ambient light and sweet 1.2 lenses made these shots possible. I’m really stoked with the night shots we got here, always trying to push the envelope week after week. The party was held at The State Room in downtown Albany, a beautiful room. Our friend Music Man Mike Garrasi held down the party late into the evening, great job Mike.

Enjoy, check back soon for Sunday’s wedding-
