Every year I shoot the Tulip Fest for the City of Albany, as part of my coverage I go out and photograph just the tulips. Wednesday my fisheye lens came in and I thought how interesting it would be to shoot the tulips with that rather than the way I shoot them every year with a long tight shot so I thought I would leave you with a little something for the weekend. Yeah I threw myself in one photo, why not? Also added are two images from the Street Scrubbing I shot today in downtown Albany. I know I used the fisheye on a lot of photos but its new & fun to me. Look for more Tulip Fest photos this Monday! Happy Mothers Day to all the Mom’s!

Sunday we were at Glen Sanders Mansion with Lydia & Liam a super fun couple. What a day! Their friends were quite the dancers too! Also a nice treat was one of their friends did this flame dance thing which was different but really cool.

This was an extremely fun wedding and a gorgeous day! Lydia’s and Liam’s friends were quite the dancers and great fun to watch. The flame dance was awesome. Kudos too to the mother of the bride, Debbie Kennison, on her expert sewing–those flower girls dresses were amazing!
A great time was had by all! And probably the only wedding you’ll ever do with a flame twirling act.

as Cheryl & Anders exchange vows at The Sagamore. Did I say windy? Even so we still came back with some incredible photos. From start to finish Cheryl & Anders were more than a pleasure to work with and I think that shows in our work. I mean look how happy & how much fun Cheryl is having while cutting a rug from the sounds of my man DJ Greg Frasier. I cannot stress how important a dancing bride is to the party, it really gets the guests out of the chairs and on the floor where they should be. Speaking of guests thanks to Tomas Flint a guest of Cheryls from Rochester who happened to be a wedding photog too. Tomas was kind enough to share his fisheye lens with me as you will see in some photos during the party. BTW first thing Monday morning we purchased the fisheye to ad to our growing list of Canon’s finest.

Hey Joe,
I see that you were on your game all weekend long!
Those Tulip Fest 2007 images are awesome. The low angle shot of the Red Tulips, and Joan Jett from the rear of the stage are my favs. Great Job man, Jennings will be proud of you for making Albany look like such a happening place. Peace, AL.
